1992 U.S. Olympic Trials

The 1988 Olympic Trials were held on August 4-7 at the Salt Palace Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. This competition determined who would represent the United States at the Olympics in Seoul.

Format of Competition

The competition was the same as the National Championships. There were two days of competition, where the all-around was contested on both days. The first day of competition was the compulsory round, and the second day was the optional round.

At the end of the second day of competition, the team would be determined by the final standings. The top six in the all-around would be the team, and the seventh place finisher would be an alternate.
