The 2014 Pan American Senior Championships will be held from August 19 - September 1 at the Hershey Centre Main Bowl in Mississauga, Canada. The women's gymnastics competition began on August 30.

Format of Competition

All participating gymnasts, including those who were not part of a team, participated in a qualification round, which also served as the team and all-around final. The results of this competition determined which individuals participated in the event finals. The top eight gymnasts qualified per event, and each country was limited to two gymnasts per apparatus final.

Notable Moments

  • USA's Maggie Nichols injured her knee on floor exercise and did not attend the medal ceremony. Team alternate Felicia Hano dressed and accepted the team medal for her.

Controversy

  • In the uneven bars final, USA's Ashton Locklear posted a 14.675. National Team Coordinator Marta Karolyi had an inquiry filed about Lockear's D score, which was accepted, and Locklear's score was changed to 14.975.
