Alexandra Eade (born January 15 in Wahroonga) is an elite Australian gymnast.

Junior Career


Eade made her international debut at the Élite Gym Massilia in 2010, placing fourth with her team, fifth in the all-around, and sixth on floor.


The following year, she won gold on vault, silver in the all-around and on bars, and placed fourth on beam and floor at the Pre-Olympic Youth Cup. At the Junior Australian Nationals later that year, she won gold with her team and on vault, silver in the all-around, and placed fifth on beam and floor.


In early 2012, Eade competed at the International Gymnix, winning team and floor exercise silver and placing ninth in the all-around. She went on to compete at the Pacific Rim Championships in Everett, Washington, where she placed fourth with her team, fifth on floor, seventh on vault, and eleventh in the all-around.


In 2013, she won a team bronze medal at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival. At the Junior Australian Nationals, she won gold in the team, all-around, vault, and floor, and bronze on beam.

Senior Career


Eade's senior debut came at the City of Jesolo Trophy in March. There, she placed fourth with the Australian team, but did not compete all four events and did not place in the all-around. Later that month, she competed at the Doha World Cup, but did not make the event finals. In May, she competed at the Australian National Championships, winning gold with her team.


Eade competed at the Australian National Championships, winning team gold and placing fifth on vault, sixth on beam, and seventh on floor. In August, she competed in a friendly meet against gymnasts from China, winning balance beam silver and vault bronze.


Eade competed at the Australian Nationals in late May. She only competed three events, placing fourth on balance beam, fifth on floor exercise, and sixth on vault.


Though she was passed over for the Olympics, Eade continued to compete after Rio. She took part in the Baku World Cup in Azerbaijan in March, but did not make the event finals.
