Current status


Alexandra Mihai (born September 4 in Bucharest) is an elite Romanian gymnast. She trains at CSS Steaua Bucharest and has been a member of the National Team since 2014.


Junior Career


Mihai made her national debut at the 2010 School Nationals, winning team, all-around, and floor exercise gold, uneven bars bronze, and placing sixth on beam. Later that year, she swept the "Little Gymnast" Nationals.

She returned to both competitions the following year, winning vault, beam, and floor gold, all-around silver, and placing eighth on uneven bars at the School Nationals, and winning all-around gold, vault silver, floor exercise bronze, and placing seventh on beam and eighth on bars at the "Little Gymnast" Nationals. She went on to place eighth at the Junior Team Nationals and ninth at the Junior Individual Nationals

At the School Nationals in 2012, Mihai won all-around, vault, and beam gold, uneven bars silver, and team and floor exercise bronze, and went on to win the Junior Team Nationals later that year.


At the School Nationals, she won beam and floor gold, all-around silver, vault bronze, and placed fifth on bars. She competed at her first Romanian National Championships in September, winning team bronze, and placing fifth on beam and twenty-first in the all-around. At the Romanian Junior Nationals, she won silver on beam, and placed fourth in the all-around, fifth on vault, and eighth on floor.


Mihai made her international debut at the Nadia Comaneci International Invitational in America, winning bronze with her team and placing seventh in the all-around. At the Romanian Junior Nationals in the fall, she won bronze in the all-around and gold on floor. In November, she competed at the Elite Gym Massilia in France, placing ninth with her team.


Mihai returned to the Nadia Comaneci Invitational, winning team gold, floor exercise silver, and vault and balance beam bronze.

Senior Career

Mihai made her senior debut at the Gym Festival Trnava in June, placing fourth on vault, sixth on beam and floor, and twenty-first in the all-around.
