Jaycie Lynn Phelps (born September 26, 1979 in Indianapolis, Indiana) is a United States Olympic gymnast and member of the 1996 Olympic Gold medal U.S. women's gymnastics team, Magnificent 7.

1994

Phelps made her senior debut at the U.S. Classic, placing 3rd in the all-around final. Phelps then competed at the U.S. national championships placing 6th all-around, 5th on uneven bars, balance beam, and floor. Later in the fall she competed at the 1994 Team World Championships in Dortmund, Germany helping her team place 2nd in the team final behind Romania and ahead of Russia.

1995

Phelps competed at the American Classic placing 8th in the all-around. She then competed at the U.S. Classic placing 1st in the all-around final. In the summertime she competed at the U.S. National Championships placing 3rd all around, 5th on vault, 4th on the uneven bars, and 6th on floor. Phelps then competed at the 1995 World Championships in Sabae, Japan, helping her team place 3rd in the team final and individually placed 8th on the uneven bars.

1996

Phelps competed at the American Classic with better results from the year before, improving from 8th to 1st in the all-around final. Phelps also won individual medals, bronze on vault and beam, and a gold on floor. During the summer, she competed at the U.S. National Championships placing 2nd in the all-around final. After the National Championships, Phelps competed at the Olympic Trials placing 3rd in the all-around, securing her a spot on the 1996 Olympic team. At the Olympics, Phelps competed all four events but fell on beam in the compulsories, she placed 17th overall but did not qualify because of the 3 per country rule. Phelps also helped her team in the optionals helping the U.S. to their 1st gold medal.

2000

She attempted to make a comeback in hopes to go to the 2000 Olympic Games. She competed at the classic on 3 events qualifying her to the National Championships. At Nationals, Phelps competed all 4 events on the 1st day. She withdrew from the 2nd day of nationals and petioned to the Olympic trials. However, Jaycie's petion was declined.
