Louise McColgan (born September 15 in Irvine) is a retired elite Scottish artistic gymnast (now does TeamGym). She is the 2013 and 2014 Scottish Espoir Champion, and the 2013 British Espoir Bronze medalist on floor and balance beam, 2015 Scottish Junior Champion, 2015 British Junior Floor Silver medalist and Beam Bronze medalist

Junior Career

2012

McColgan competed at the Celtic Cup, winning silver with her team and placing fifth in the all-around.

2013

That year, she competed at the British Espoir Championships, winning gold on beam, bronze on floor, and placing fourth in the all-around and sixth on bars. At her second Celtic Cup, she won the all-around and placed second with her team. At the Scottish Espoir Championships, she won gold in every event, except vault where she won silver. She was named to the Scottish team for the UK School Games in September, where she won a team bronze medal, placed fourth on bars, sixth on vault and floor, and ninth in the all-around. At the British Espoir Championships in December, she placed fourth in the all-around, bars, and beam, seventh on floor, and eighth on vault.

2014

McColgan started off 2014 by sweeping the espoir division of the Scottish Nationals in February. At the UK School Games in September, she won team bronze and placed sixth in the all-around. In December, she competed at the British Espoir Championships, placing fifth on floor and fifteenth in the all-around.

2015

In February, McColgan swept the junior division of the Scottish Nationals, posting scores higher than most of the seniors. At the British Championships, she won silver on floor, bronze on beam, and placed fourth in the all-around, fifth on bars, and sixth on vault. She competed on three events in a junior friendly meet against gymnasts from France and Switzerland, winning a team silver medal. At the UK School Games in September, she won a bronze medal with the Scottish team.

McColgan retired from artistic in January in 2017, prior to making her senior debut. Now coaching at Glasgow, and training with Forth Valley G. C. For TeamGym. [1]
