Anna Aleksandrovna Rodionova (Russian: Анна Александровна Родионова, born November 21 in Yoshkar-Ola) is a retired elite Russian gymnast. She's 2014 European bronze medalist with the team.
Junior Career[]
Rodionova made her international debut at the 2010 Pacific Rim Championships, where she won bronze in the all-around, in the junior division.
Senior Career[]
2012[]
Rodionova competed at the City of Jesolo Trophy, winning the team bronze medal. Though she was not named to the Russian Olympic team, she continued to compete, winning the team gold at the Stuttgart World Cup that November.
2013[]
Rodionova went on to place eighth on bars at the Anadia World Cup. At the Russian Cup in August, she won silver with her team and placed fourth in the all-around and sixth on bars and beam. In early September, she was named to the Russian team for her first World Championships.
Initially, Russia was sending four athletes, and Rodionova was set to do bars and beam. But Maria Paseka became injured, so the Russian coaches had Rodionova compete in the all-around. She qualified in fifteenth place, and also qualified in fourth to the balance beam final. Rodionova placed sixteenth in the all-around. In the balance beam final, Rodionova performed last. She fell on her Arabian salto and scored a 13.100, finishing last.
Following the World Championships, she was named to the Russian team for the Élite Gym Massilia in November. In the Master Team division, the Russian team placed second in the all-around, bars, and beam, and fourth on vault and floor. Individually, she placed fifth on bars and tenth in the all-around. She qualified to the Top Massilia, where she placed sixth on bars. She was later named to the Russian team for the Team Challenge at the Stuttgart World Cup, where they won the silver medal.[1]
2014[]
Rodionova started off 2014 by winning silver on uneven bars at the Cottbus World Cup. She went on to win another silver on bars at the Russian Championships in April and place fourth with her team.
She was named to the Russian team for the European Championsips. She contributed a score of 13.433 on uneven bars towards Russia's bronze medal. At the Russian Cup in August, she placed fourth with her team and sixth on bars.
Rodionova retired in 2015.[2]
