Elena Arenas (born August 31 in Milledgeville, GA) is an elite American gymnast. She trains at Georgia Elite Gymnastics and is coached by her father, Pete Arenas, and Amber Stiles. Her favorite event is the uneven bars.

Junior Career

2013-2014

Arenas competed at the U.S. Challenge, winning silver on bars, and placing sixth on beam, and seventh in the all-around. The following year, she competed at the Junior Olympic Nationals, placing eighth on bars and tenth in the all-around. She qualified elite that spring and went on to place sixth on bars at the American Classic and twenty-fourth in the all-around at the U.S. Classic. At her first Junior Nationals, she placed seventh on bars, and twenty-first in the all-around.

2015

In February, Arenas competed at the WOGA Classic, winning all-around and balance beam gold, vault silver, uneven bars bronze, and placing fourth on floor. In late May, she competed at the American Classic, placing seventh on vault, ninth on bars, eleventh on floor, thirteenth in the all-around, and twenty-first on beam. In late July, she competed at the U.S. Classic, where a fall on beam landed her in nineteenth in the all-around. In August, she compete at Junior Nationals, placing fourteenth on vault and twenty-first in the all-around.

2016

In June, Arenas competed at the U.S. Classic, winning silver on vault, and placing tenth in the all-around, eighteenth on uneven bars, twentieth on balance beam, and twenty-third on floor exercise. She went on to compete at the U.S. National Championships, placin sixth on vault, eleventh in the all-around, sixteenth on bars, nineteenth on beam, and twentieth on floor.

Senior Career

2017

Arenas made her senior debut at the American Classic, where she won gold in the all-around. At the U.S. Classic in July, she placed seventh on bars, ninth in the all-around, eleventh on floor, and seventeenth on beam. In August, she competed at the National Championships, placing ninth in the all-around, tenth on uneven bars, fourteenth on balance beam, and fifteenth on floor exercise.
