Junior Career[]

Grindle made her elite debut at the British Age Group Finals in 2010, winning silver in the all-around. She made her international debut the following year, at the Coupe de la Ville Arques, winning bronze in the all-around. In 2012, she won gold on floor exercise at both the English and British Championships, also finishing fourth in the all-around at the English Championships, and fourth on vault at the British Championships.

In 2013, she competed at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival, winning gold on balance beam and silver with her team and in the all-around. At the British Championships, she won balance beam and floor exercise gold and uneven bars silver. At the British Espoir Championships, she won all-around, vault, and floor exercise silver, and uneven bars bronze. At the very end of the year, she competed at the Pas de Calais International, winning team, all-around, and balance beam gold, uneven bars and floor exercise silver, and vault bronze.

In 2014, she made her junior elite debut at the English Championships, placing fourth in the all-around, fifth on beam, sixth on floor, and seventh on bars. She had better competition at the British Championships, winning balance beam gold, all-around silver, uneven bars and floor exercise bronze, and placing fourth on vault. She went on to compete at a friendly meet against gymnasts from Germany, Switzerland, Spain, and Italy, winning team silver and placing twelfth in the all-around. In May, she competed at her first European Championships, winning team silver and placing fourth on beam.

Grindle was sidelined for most of 2015 with a shoulder injury.[1] She returned to competition at the Olympic Hopes Cup in the Czech Republic, where she helped the British team win the gold medal.

Grindle becomes a senior elite gymnast in 2016, just in time for the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
