I suspect the US already kind of already know who they are sending (or rather who they are saving from) bc simone was replying on her ask.fm that she and aly won't be there. I suspect that they already somewhat plan it since it's only 1wk before US classics.
Guess will have to wait for more official statements...
Official WAG US Pan Am to be named at June 29-July 3 camp. Awfully close to Pan Am start date. Wonder who it will be/wont be if Simone and Aly are not going to be sent. This is also so close to Classics it will not be easy for those competing at both. or would those at pan am get excused from classics?
Marta is using Pan Ams to test out certain people for Worlds. Aly and Simone have likely already proved themselves at Jesolo. My guess is Bailie will be going to Pan Ams, in order to get more international experience as a senior. I hope Nia will be healthy enough for Pan Ams. I'm anxiously waiting for her senior debut. She missed Jesolo because of an injury.
Absolutely no idea. It's not really fair to base women's vault start values on men's vault start values. The handspring double front is worth less than the TTY in the men's code, but the opposite is true in the women's code. Women prefer round-off entry vaults while men prefer handspring vaults, and that's reflected in their respective codes.
Every single team had EF substitutions, not just the Americans. Right now, I'm working through the qualifications to figure all of them out. If substitutions are gonna be mentioned, it shouldn't just be about the Americans. I try to keep this site as neutral and unbiased as possible.
True. the Canadian also did with their juniors once I think. Would be good to be able to figure all the subs out. I figure worth mentioning subs to clarify to someone who didn't see the competition but would wonder why it is that Biles qualified 1st to all 4 but then it's Ross and Key that medaled.
You may remember me from quite a long time ago. I have contributed a couple of pages on the wiki in the past but now I have realised just how much I do love this wiki and I would love to help out a lot more creating new pages and articles for the community as it is a growing gymnastics resource now!
If there are any topic specific articles you particularly need, I would be happy to create them.
If you're really bored and want something to do, I've started making "details" pages for Olympics and Worlds (I'm considering doing it for Euros too). Look at the pages for this year's Worlds and you'll see what I mean. If you want, you start the "details" pages for the other Olympics and Worlds.
That sounds fun! I'll give them a try. I was also wondering if I could create some pages for clubs like Texas Dreams and WOGA and others. I realised that there aren't any on the wikia and I think it would be good to list clubs so that people can read about their current and former alumni's and former results etc? Let me know.
I've already gotten started on that. Every American gymnast has their gym in their catgeories at the bottom of their page, and every American gym is listed under the "American gymnast" category. You can just work from there.
