 Mirela Paşca (b. February 19, 1975 in Baia Mare, Romania) is a retired Romanian artistic gymnast who represented Romania at the 1991 and 1992 World Championships and the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics. Her best event was the uneven bars.

Career

Paşca began gymnastics at the age of 5 years old at the Baia Mare Sports Club. She joined the Romanian National Team in 1990. At the 1990 European Championships she won a gold medal on the uneven bars tying with two Soviet gymnasts, Svetlana Boguinskaya and Natalia Kalinina. The next year she made the Romanian World Championships team where she helped the team win a bronze medal in the team competition. Individually Paşca placed 8th in the all-around and tied for 4th on uneven bars with Henrietta Ónodi. In 1992 she represented Romania at the World Championships where she won a bronze medal on the uneven bars. Later that year Paşca was named to the Romanian Olympic team. In Barcelona she helped her team win a silver medal in the team competition. Individually, she advanced to the uneven bars final where she tied for 4th with teammate Lavinia Miloşovici and North Korean Kim Gwang-Suk. 

Post-retirement

Following her retirement in 1992 she earned a degree in physical education and sports at the Bucharest Ecological University. During her studies she competed as a member of the university's aerobic gymnastics team. Following graduation she continued with aerobic gymnastics, competing as a pair with her future husband Octavian Romas. In 1996 they won a silver medal for mixed pairs Romanian National Championship as well as an individual silver medal. The following year Paşca moved to Spain to coach artistic gymnastics at the Real Grupo de Cultura Covadonga club. In 2006 she returned to Romania and opened a fitness and aerobic club.
