Zeng Siqi (Chinese: 曾斯琪, pinyin: Céng sīqí) is a retired Chinese artistic gymnast. She was a member of the Chinese National team for four years and represented the Hunan province in domestic competitions. She was coached by former World Champion and Olympic silver medalist Ling Jie. Her best events were balance beam and floor exercise.

Career

Junior Career

Zeng was named to the Chinese team for the 2010 Pacific Rim Championships, where she won a team silver medal and a bronze medal on uneven bars in the junior division. At the Chinese Nationals, she won bronze on balance beam and placed fourth on floor exercise.

The following year, she placed third in the all-around at both the National Championships and the Sakura Cup.

Senior Career

Zeng made her senior debut at the Chinese Nationals, where she placed second on balance beam. At the Asian Championships in the fall, she won gold with the Chinese team, gold in the all-around, and bronze on beam and floor. She also won the all-around and balance beam at the Chinese Individual Nationals.

Her 2013 debut came at the Doha World Cup, where she placed sixth on uneven bars, won silver on beam, and bronze on floor exercise. The following May, she won bronze with her team, bronze in the all-around at the Chinese Nationals, placed fourth on floor, and seventh on balance beam.

In September, she competed at the Chinese National Games, winning bronze with her team, and placing fifth on floor and tenth in the all-around. She was named to the Chinese team for the World Championships as their balance beam specialist. Unfortunately, she fell on beam in qualifications and did not advance to the final. Zeng was announced as a competitor for the Mexico Open in November, where she placed eighth in the all-around.[1]

In early 2014, Zeng left the National team, returned home to Hunan, and retired.[2]

    • Just a question, anyone knows if she competed in Anadia 2013?
    • She's on the competitor's list, but I did not see her name anywhere in qualifications. Interesting.
